Concrete Wall Sawing In The Lower Mainland

Wall sawing uses a diamond blade mounted on a track that is bolted to the wall, so the saw moves in perfectly straight lines. It is the cleanest way to cut a doorway, window or service opening through poured concrete, tilt-up panels and foundation walls.

What Wall Sawing Is Used For

Doorway Openings

New interior doorways and basement suite entries through concrete walls.

Window Openings

New or enlarged windows, including egress windows for bedrooms.

HVAC Installation

Openings for large ducts, louvres and mechanical equipment.

Pipe Access

Openings to reach or reroute piping inside or behind walls.

Structural Repairs

Removing damaged sections cleanly so repairs can tie into sound concrete.

Selective Demolition

Taking out sections of wall or slab without disturbing what stays.

Why Wall Sawing Beats Jackhammering

A jackhammer breaks concrete by shattering it, which sends vibration through the structure, leaves ragged edges and can crack the concrete you meant to keep. A wall saw cuts instead, so the opening is exactly the size on the plan and the surrounding wall stays sound.

It is also quieter and far cleaner. With wet cutting, the dust stays in the slurry, and the cut section often comes out in one piece that can be lifted away rather than broken into rubble.

Wall Sawing Questions

Don’t see your question? Call us at (604) 340-5659.

How Thick A Wall Can You Cut?

Wall saws handle everything from thin partition walls to heavy foundation and structural walls. For very thick or heavily reinforced sections we may combine wall sawing with wire sawing. Send us the thickness and we will confirm the method.

Do I Need An Engineer For A New Opening?

Usually, yes, if the wall is structural or part of the foundation. The engineer specifies the opening size and the header. We cut to those dimensions.

Can You Cut Inside An Occupied Building?

Yes. We use electric saws indoors so there are no exhaust fumes, cut wet to control dust, and can work after hours to avoid disrupting tenants.

Will The Cut Piece Come Out In One Section?

Often, yes. Large sections are cut into pieces sized for safe lifting and removal, then hauled away.
